In the first episode, the real Amsterdammer Remco takes on this challenge with his wife Lean and their two children. The family is reluctant to leave the capital. Their current flat – with two children – is becoming too small, but they cannot afford a bigger house in Amsterdam. So they enlisted the help of Natasja Froger and her team to find their dream home.
The couple has a number of conditions. For example, they both work in Amsterdam and don’t want to travel more than an hour to get to work. Their maximum budget is 500,000 euros. For the kids, Remco and Lean want their own room and a roof terrace or garden. “You prefer the afternoon sun so that you can have a nice barbecue”, Remco adds. There is also a marina absolute for this couple. They currently live at the Sloterplas in Amsterdam and have their own boat that they sail on regularly. Location wise they are not that picky. Remco and Lean fit in well with ‘between Amsterdam and Limburg’.
