Bradley Cooper (47) said he was “completely lost” when he became addicted to cocaine in the early 2000s and lost his role in the action thriller series “Alias”. The actor said so in an interview with the podcast ‘Wondery’s SmartLess’, hosted by co-stars Jason Bateman (53), Will Arnett (52) and Sean Hayes (51).
“The only ‘advantage’ was that I was 29 at the time and no younger”
“I was completely lost during that period: I tore my Achilles tendon and used a lot of cocaine. I had no confidence and so I turned to drugs. The only ‘advantage’ was that I was 29 then and not yet. I did a commercial for Wendy’s burger chain, I thought I’d made it, but I was actually depressed. I didn’t get a part until I was 36. the hangover everything has changed and I have already been through this dark period,” said Bradley Cooper.

He continues: “There have been real changes for me between the ages of 29 and 34. During these 5 years I have struggled with myself and my addiction but mostly worked on my self-image. If I could have kept it up it would have been a great win. I kept breathing and listening and talking in front of someone. If I’ve learned anything, it’s that I should kiss the person I am no matter what. Only then can you be honest with yourself and do something about your behavior.
