Eva Henger said that last week she was able to walk again, getting out of her wheelchair. Now he’s in Egypt, on vacation with his family, but he’s still doing physical therapy nonstop, even when he can’t sleep:

“I started walking again. On the first day without the wheelchair, last week, I was very tired at night. For me, walking was almost a novelty after a long time in bed. Even my left leg, which was not involved in the accident, she started to shake, but I was not afraid: I would like to do everything immediately. It is not by chance that if I don’t sleep at night, I do physiotherapy exercises to benefit myself. I would like to recover permanently, also for fear of not being able to walk together for a long time”.

Eva Henger and the silence of those she considered friends

Eva Henger explained that she was impressed with the affection of the public after the accident she suffered in Hungary. Many contacted her on social media to tell her story and try to comfort her: “They made me feel less alone. This situation has put me in a position to realize how lucky I am because there are so many people who love me.“. A special thanks to Massimo Boldi and Nadia Rinaldi who came to visit her in the hospital. However, this tragic occasion also allowed her to identify people who were not as friendly as they seemed:

“Someone I thought was closest has walked away. I was expecting some reassuring phone calls that didn’t arrive, but I’m not complaining: this situation puts me in a position to make a selection.”
