His interviews have become iconic due to his appearance. Francesca Fagnani asked his guests questions about the Rai2 program”beasts”: a hint of cynicism, a good dose of curiosity and malice, and this being quite poignant. But the journalist also has a romantic side as she tells in an interview with Vanity Fair in which she talks mainly about love.

There are two phases according to “the beast” of TV, in which a person’s knowledge can be divided and actually believes that “falling in love is an ecstatic condition that can only last for a very short time. And when it evaporates, love remains at best,” when this happens it means that we accept the differences, we become complementary: “The truth is, the other person becomes an indispensable part of you. One arm, one kidney. Become something visceral, become a family. The phase where you are the other, and the other is you. Which is not to say the relationship becomes peaceful, huh.” It’s about relationship, the one with Enrico Mentanayour companion from ten yearsnow it’s solid, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that sooner or later they can take the big step: “For me, marriage is not a requirement, nor a desire for fulfillment. But I don’t even rule it out” and also about the idea of being a mother, Fagnani has very clear ideas: “If children arrive, they are a gift of life. If they are made, they must be made out of love.”
The relationship with Enrico Mentana
The relationship with the journalist from La7 is the longest in her sentimental past, although their relationship has to immediately bow to the needs of a job that has led both to sacrifice part of their time to spend together, albeit consciously. Until today, if I thought about the “love of her life”, I would no doubt say that this is what she is experiencing:
The current. However, in general, I think long-term relationships are against nature. We were not made to exhaust our curiosity and desire once and for all. Here, in “forever”, I don’t believe it at all. Of course, if you tell yourself a hundred parallel stories, they’re all good… Today, I’m happy with the realization of a journey that started from afar. Perhaps, here, the relationship has suffered from my Calvinist dedication to work, which certainly takes away the centrality, time and attention of the other.

However, despite such a solid and built relationship, both share nothing of their private life that they jealously guard: “I don’t like to propose as a couple. I just hate the idea of getting a like thanks to my partner’s image.” But Francesca Fagnani is sincere in saying that the strongest love she has felt so far has been one, still unparalleled:
I felt tremendous love for my mother when I lost her seven years ago. It was like a slap in the face, and for a long time I felt a kind of hole in my heart. Even now, when I think about it. What I felt for my mother was an overwhelming love, because it was irretrievable. No one can love and care for you like a mother
