Camilo, the boy who sings to remember his mother, left ‘La Voz Kids’

‘La Voz Kids’ has become a program that can touch even the most sensitive spheres of all Colombians, thanks to the stories of overcoming with which children plunge night after night into the depths of the hearts of Colombian viewers.

In the first broadcast of the current competition it was known Camilo’s storya boy who, at just 10 years old, takes his first steps in the abundant and always complex universe of music.

The boy came out Apartado, Antioquia, to participate in the show’s blind auditions. His first performance was with ‘Historia triste’, a song composed with his father, Rodrigo Montoya, in a piece that inspires melancholy and genuine love, as it is a story dedicated to his mother.

And it is that the mother of the minor died in 2014 in the middle of a bombingwhen she and her father were forced to join the guerrilla fighters and leave the child in the care of his parents.

All the coaches decided to turn to give the minor a chance to be part of their teams, but the boy ultimately chose Andrés Cepeda, who burst into tears when he heard the boy’s story.

Camilo’s story couldn’t go any further than this Thursday, however, as he was eliminated from the competition as part of the fights, which saw the underage take on David Camilo and Sahian.

the children sang ‘You had gone before’, and in the end, victory went to Sahian, a child prodigy whose thick voice paints her as one of the strongest candidates to win the competition.

At the moment of choosing, Cepeda’s eyes brightened, as if someone was about to burst into tears. Still, the coach kept his cool and assured that he sees enough talent in each of the two kids to conquer the top.
