It’s “back to school” time for royalty too. The first to return to the stands were the princes of Monaco, the twins Gabriella and Jaques. The children, dressed in jeans and a red polo shirt, were accompanied by their parents: there were Prince Albert and his wife, the elephant Charlene of Monaco. Soon the children of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will also return to the banks. About that William and Kate they personally followed Charlotte, Louis and George (7, 9 and 4 years respectively) at the school they will attend together. They participated in the traditional “afternoon sit down”, a sort of welcoming ceremony for new members of the Lambrook School.

The first day of school for the princes

In late August, the Cambridge family moved into a new home. There are several reasons behind the move to Adelaide Cottage (on the grounds of Windsor Castle), including the couple’s desire to live as close as possible to their three children’s school. Princes Charlotte, George and Louis indeed, they will attend the same school from this school year. For them, classes will start on September 8, but before the official start, the whole family visited the prestigious institute, for a tour of the campus and to meet principal Jonathan Perry and the professors.

The Lambrook School of Berkshire it is just a 15-minute drive from Adelaide Cottage. This will be the first time that the three princes will attend the same educational institution together. Prince Louis is in kindergarten: he was enrolled at Willcocks Nursery School until last year. Little Charlotte is in third grade while her eldest son George is in fifth: they have attended Thomas’s Battersea in London in the past.

Photos taken in Cambridge show the three children all in uniform: white polo shirts and navy blue shorts for the two boys and a blue plaid dress for the younger sister. It is the required summer uniform for girls aged 3 to 8 years. For all dark socks and loafers. Kate Middleton instead focused on one of the must-haves of her well-kept outfits: the duchess particularly likes polka dots. To visit her children’s new school, she chose a shirt dress in copper with white posi, by Rixo. On the official website of the brand it is already sold out: costs 305 euros. It has a front bodice with buttons, slightly pleated skirt, long puffed sleeves. The Duchess paired it with a pair of brown shoes, adding some simple jewelry, including the inevitable pearl earrings.
