ALMOST 11,000 Covid-19 cases in less than 24 hours as hospital data approaches 2000 –

Covid-19 tests on about 11,000 people in less than 24 hours are positive.

Scotland has recorded 31 coronavirus deaths and 10,710 new cases, according to the latest figures released Wednesday by the Scottish government.

However, the data does not cover cases registered after 20:00 on Tuesday.

The figure comes amid a peak in cases in Scotland due to Omicron’s BA.2 sub-variant.

According to a virolhog, cases are expected to peak in the next two weeks.

Meanwhile, while 32 patients were in intensive care, the number of people hospitalized with the virus reached 1,999.

Due to a technical issue in Scottish public health, the vaccine data was not updated on Wednesday.

The latest data from Tuesday shows that 4,441,175 received the first dose of the vaccine and 4,171,128 received the second dose. It received a total of 3,468,504 boost injections.
