Italy will send new weapons to Ukraine, minister Guerini to Copasir

Sending arms to Ukraine for its defense against Moscow’s aggression is an issue that continues to take hold and remain on the agenda of all Western powers. Italy is no exception and is currently struggling with its fifth arms decree. And precisely this will be discussed on Tuesday, October 4th, in front of Copasir, the Parliamentary Security Commission of the Republic. At Copasir, by the way, an audience is scheduled with the Minister of Defense, Lorenzo Guerini, who will have to illustrate the details of the fifth ministerial decree.

And the fifth interministerial decree to send weapons to Ukraine could be signed later this week. LaPresse learns this from qualified sources. The provision must be dismissed by the ministers of the government led by Mario Draghi: Lorenzo Guerini (Defense), Daniele Franco (Economy) and Luigi Di Maio (Foreigners). As the confrontation between Russia and Ukraine becomes more tense, Italy reaffirms its unequivocal choice to side with Volodymyr Zelensky and against Putin’s Kremlin.
