Alessandra Todde, Mise’s deputy minister and vice president of the 5 Star Movement, spoke harshly when commenting on the call for unity of the opposition made by Democratic Party Secretary Enrico Letta: “The call for unity had to be made before the elections and not after. It seems to me really paradoxical that the current leadership of the dem now proposes a dialogue having realized that they made a mistake in all the political choices in the last 3 months. They want to make a single opposition after weeks in which they attacked us all preferring to talk about the Draghi agenda and useful votes while we were touring Italy talking about the social agenda and defense of the latter? We should not make any alliance of the opposition benches”.
“If the Democratic Party – Todde goes back to talking to the Democrat – wants to accompany us on our issues, the ones we always fight for by putting our face and ideas on them, I don’t see any problem. We will make an uncompromising opposition to the issues we share with the Italians and in which we have received their trust”.
