Government, Salvini: “Center-right will participate in consultations”

“The center-right will join the consultations with the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella,” Matteo Salvini told reporters on the Montecitorio ocean liner shortly after the election of Lorenzo Fontana as president of the Chamber of Deputies.

Salvini reassures the majority by explaining that yesterday there was a “small hiccup” in the Senate, but assuring that “the center-right will rule for 5 years”. And he reveals how he listened to Berlusconi with whom “everything will be smoothed over”. The League leader says he is ready to face the challenges of the new government and explains that he is available without any obstacles or complaints. In short, calm appears to be back in the centre-right alliance. “I can’t wait to start the new government,” says Salvini, who says he has his team in mind. In this regard, the leader of Carroccio explains that if the League is invited to deal with the Economy, “it will be proud” and confirms the name of Giorgetti: “it is out of the question”, he specifies.
