House and Senate, it’s time for the vice presidencies. Renzi denounces the Pd-M5S deal

At least eight boxes, four of which are reserved for the opposition. It is the playing field on which the Democratic Party, the 5 Star Movement, Ação-IV and the Aliança Verde e Esquerda will compete as of Wednesday, when the presidency of the Chambers will be completed, with the election of the Vice-Presidents, Quaestors and Chamber Secretaries.

The prologue of the confrontation was seen on the occasion of the election of Ignazio La Russa as president of the Senate: those 17 more votes from La Russa and coming from the opposition were read as a warning by the Renzians to the Pd and M5s, accused of having already signed the agreement of vice-presidencies, eliminating Italia Viva.

The parties, in any case, have lined up their ambassadors: for the Democratic Party, it is Marco Meloni who maintains the dialogue with the majority and opposition counterparts. Conte placed Michele Gubitosa and Alessandra Todde. Likewise, the game is closely intertwined with the election of group leaders. The main road continues to be that of Simona Malpezzi and Debora Serracchiani’s extension, a solution that would avoid close inspection by the future secretary.

But in recent hours there is a new activism on the part of areas within the party. In particular, prices for Anna Ascani, a member of parliament who is popular for the area close to secretary Enrico Letta, are rising. A possible operation, according to parliamentary sources dem, foresees that Debora Serracchiani will occupy the post of vice president of the Chamber. A box that may, however, also interest some exponents from the area close to Nicola Zingaretti.

Someone in Montecitorio is talking about Marco Furfaro, a newly elected very young and therefore at the bottom of the ranking of candidates for this position. Instead, the governor of the Lazio region would have a better chance. The suggestion, for the vice-presidency of the Chamber, takes the name of Alessandro Zan: father of the bill against crimes of homotransphobia, Zan would be for the dems the perfect enemy of the newly elected president, Lorenzo Fontana. The situation in the Senate is more static, where Simona Malpezzi is always in contention to be the leader of the group again, but she may return to run for vice-president of Palazzo Madama. If this second circumstance occurred, a candidate to replace Malpezzi in the role of leader of the group would be Valeria Valente. But there is also the current vice president of the Senate, Anna Rossomando, in Orlando, who could aspire to that position.

As for the position of Questor, the French would be thinking of Bruno Astorre. Everything in the balance, however, is explained, since after the La Russa case, with opposition pieces that voted for the FdI exponent, Democrats in Parliament expect “more bad jokes”. For the 5 Star Movement on pole are Chiara Appendino, for the Chamber, and Stefano Patuanelli for the Senate. Along with these boxes, then, are those of the Quaestors and Chamber secretaries, all to be defined, also based on what the composition of the presidency’s offices will be.

Finally, the Warranty fees. Copasir should go to the Democratic Party: in the dispute would be Senator Enrico Borghi, who held the post of commissioner in the legislature that has just ended, and Lorenzo Guerini. The staff of the Democratic Party focuses on the former and also among the Five Stars, at the moment, the orientation in favor of Borghi seems to prevail. The Democratic Party, on the other hand, should not be included in the Rai Oversight race. Here the match is between M5s and Italia Viva. The Renzians would be willing to propose Maria Elena Boschi.
