Minister Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, government will experiment with next-generation nuclear energy

Expensive bills, emergency power, supplies and shortage of gas supplies. The issues on the Meloni administration’s table are many and very delicate. In recent months, some have tried to put forward the hypothesis of experimenting with next-generation nuclear power. For many it was and continues to be a taboo, but, in the face of contemporary emergencies, the Meloni government will not be able to ignore it and will have to take serious measures. In the front row is the new Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, who makes it clear in which direction the Meloni government will go.

As a government, “looking to the future, of course, we are not in the immediate future, we welcome the experimentation of nuclear energy of a new type and, in our opinion, it must be fully implemented” to respond to the challenges of the crisis of energy. Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, the new Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, says this in a phone call with #FORUMAutomotive in Milan. Minister Fratin also highlighted the need to diversify the energy supply of different countries. “The Italian government’s position is certainly to advance in the diversification of sources of supply among several countries to replace the gas imported from Russia”.
