Migrants, Salvini crushes NGOs: “They are not shipwrecks, but organized trips worth three thousand dollars”

The captains of the NGO’s ships do not intend to leave the port of Catania after two thirds of the migrants who were on board had disembarked because they were frail and minors. They want all those they rescued at sea to be brought down. Only then will they go away. Matteo Salvini, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Infrastructure, who together with the Ministers of Interior and Defense, Matteo Piantedosi and Guido Crosetto, signed the temporary parking decree, does not intend to back down: the rules are respected. Also because, says Salvini to the microphones of RTL 102.5, these boats arriving from Libya “are not shipwrecks, but organized trips. Those on board these ships pay around three thousand dollars, which become weapons and drugs for the traffickers. It’s trips. increasingly dangerous organizations. It is necessary to end trafficking in human beings, which is already very serious, but also in arms and drugs linked to trafficking in human beings”.

To manage migration, adds Salvini, “it is essential to work again with Libya, Tunisia and Egypt, something that has not been done in recent years”. Of course, in Libya “there are different factions, an example of my competence is to help these countries out of the crisis. Italy has been promising for years to build roads and infrastructure in Libya, one of the files I have on my desk” informs that in addition to the Italian works “in Libya there is a highway intervention promised for years that would bring work and bring the parties in conflict closer, in which I hope Italy will be a protagonist in the coming months”, concludes Minister Salvini.
