A fragmented scenario emerges from the survey carried out by the Winpoll institute between November 30th and December 1st in view of the regional elections in Lombardy. According to the data collected, “no candidate obtains an absolute majority of votes”. The outgoing president, Northern League supporter Attilio Fontana, is the favored candidate with 42% of the preferences of Lombard voters. The spotlight on Letizia Moratti, whose independent candidacy after breaking with the Fontana junta, backed by Action-Italia Viva Third Pole, has divided the left.
The civic candidate, supported by her coalition, exceeds 27%, beating the center-left candidate Pierfrancesco Majorino of the Democratic Party by almost 7 percentage points (20.9%). The 5 Star, currently without a candidate, is stuck at 6.3. Several possible scenarios. “If 5 Stars decides to support Majorino, only 39% of those who voted for the pentastellati in politics would choose the dem candidate, 24% Moratti and 28% would still not know who to vote for. , the participation for Fontana (5%)”, explain the Winpoll researchers.
Among the data that emerged in the survey, the voting flows stand out. Well, 29% of PD voters – almost one in three – would vote for Letizia Moratti in regional elections over Majorino. Furthermore, only 44% of Forza Italia voters and 59% of Brothers of Italy voters agree with Fontana. “Precisely in these two parties the share of uncertain voters is very high (32% and 37%) and that is where the challenge will be played that could allow Letizia Moratti to recover those 6/7 points on the right to bring her a winner for the Pillone, perhaps thanks to the useful vote of the Democrats”, analyzes the institute.
