Budget law, Meloni relaunches ‘meraki’ approach: “We need courageous choices”

Giorgia Meloni defends the budget law. In a video message sent to the Guido Carli Foundation’s inaugural convention, entitled ‘Brave energy. Forces that move the world’, the prime minister reiterates the need to make courageous choices and the government’s commitment to guaranteeing the productive fabric and Italian families.

“In the particularly complex moment that our nation is facing, we need to release the best energies that Italy has, to make those courageous choices that have not been made for many years”, explains Meloni. “Italy can come out of this crisis stronger, it can come out more autonomous than before. But for that it must have courage, vision, look beyond and imagine a long-term strategy. I am thinking, for example, of the possibility that we have to relaunch the our national energy production or making our South a kind of energy supply hub for the whole of Europe. It would be unforgivable to miss opportunities like this”, adds the Prime Minister.

“This is a time when we must also take this approach that the Greeks describe so well with a remarkable word: ‘meraki’, or doing something with all of yourself, with all of your passion and with all of your soul. approach that in a moment of crisis like the one we are experiencing, from the progressive end of the pandemic to the complex economic and international situation, can and must also offer opportunities to our nation”, he specifies, reiterating that “if we do not ensure the productive development of fabric and families, everything else will have a more limited impact.”
