“A scandal of the left”. Ronzulli mercilessly on Qatargate: No more hypocrisy

“No more hypocrisy”. Licia Ronzulli is tired of talking too much about Qatargate and gives an accurate connotation of what happened in Brussels. The controller of Forza Italia in the Senate, in an interview with La Stampa, spoke about the chaos of corruption involving Morocco and Qatar: “Enough of hypocrisy. The left cannot teach the rule of law. We always remain guarantors, so I’m not talking about guilt, but responsibility for the scandal. A scandal that discredits the European institutions, for which citizens demand accountability, and which is not an orphan, has precise culprits. So let’s call it by its real name, SDGate. The socialists and democrats, the European left, will have to explain themselves”.

Another passage from the declarations to the newspaper is the much-talked-about amendment that saves football, which provides for a measure to pay tax debts in installments: “It is not about the ‘Lotito’ amendment, we do not legislate in the interest of one, but of the entire community. this is a measure that goes to companies and sports clubs will also be able to take advantage of it. It’s not just Serie A. Let’s think of many sports clubs, including amateur swimming, basketball or volleyball clubs, which without installments would go bankrupt “.

Finally, Ronzulli intervenes in the discussion on the Mes, the treaty on which Europe puts pressure on Italy: “Forza Italia has always been consistent, criticizing some aspects of the regulation that leave too much arbitrariness to its director, making the structure completely free of any control democratic. In the meantime, however, conditions have changed and, therefore, today the mechanism – concludes the supporter of Silvio Berlusconi – needs to be revised”.
