The Democratic Party continues to drop in the polls. The repercussions of the electoral defeat are still being felt and Democrats are now at 14%, down 0.2% from last week, according to the latest SWG poll. Thus, the four-way race (albeit “virtual”) to elect the new secretary does not stop the vote bleeding, and indeed the absence of a leader who can dictate the line seems to exacerbate the Democratic Party’s crisis.
SWG research also confirms a slight decrease for 5-Star hotels, which increased from 17.6% to 17.4%. The gap with the Democratic Party has not changed, just a few months before the vote, it would be hard to imagine a gap of more than 3 points between the centre-left-leading 5 Stars and the demo (non-) coalition.

But another piece of news comes from the SWG survey. In fact, Brothers of Italy is also down 0.5% and remains by far the top spot at 30.8%. Honeymoon with the Italians coming to an end? It’s still too early to tell. The decline in Fdi could also be “physiological” and in any case the consensus that Giorgia Meloni’s party has is still very high. On the other hand, Lega rose 0.2% to 8.5%, while Forza Italia rose from 6.4% to 6.6%. The Third Pole is also growing: Azione and Italia Viva scored +0.4 and rose to 8.2%. Further down are Per l’Italia with 3.8% (+0.1%) Greens and Left, 3.1% +Europe and 2.3% Paragone stable. It was followed by Unione Popolare with 1.8% and Noi Moderati with 1.
