Elly Schlein’s “party” is growing ahead of the PD primaries. Senator Andrea is also supporting the candidate for the secretariat starting today
Chrysanthemums. The virologist spoke on A Sheep’s Day, on Rai Radio1, and announced: “I vote for Elly Schlein, she brings a wind of novelty to the Democratic Party, disrupts the dynamics of currents and is sensitive to social issues.” And Stefano Bonaccini? “He is also an excellent candidate”, says Crisanti, who also spoke about the possibility of the Democratic Party changing its name during the congress. “The Pd will stay, for me the Democratic Party is fine, at best we can call ourselves the New Democratic Party”, explained the virologist.
Meanwhile, the candidates’ campaign continues with interviews. If yesterday Schlein had announced his intention to promote the liberalization of marijuana and a gradual increase in inheritance tax, attracting criticism from Matteo Salvini, Paola De Micheli launched his proposals and positions in an interview with Giorno, Carlino and Nazione: “I am with the Ukrainian resistance that fights to defend democracy and to survive. When we talk about these issues, I think of the story of our guerrilla grandfathers who received weapons from the Allies. Ukrainians defend their territory and our Europe from an autocratic state. Without a doubt. Survive first. Then seek peace: Italy and Europe must do more for peace”, said the candidate for the DEM secretariat.
Questioned whether the Pd should look at the five stars or at the third pole in terms of alliances, he says that “before discussing with others, we have to go back to being strong and solid. At this stage we must first of all choose what we want are .Only with a strong PD will we be able to discuss alliances”.
