The hypothesis that the centre-right can score two goals and thus conquer both Lazio and Lombardy is gaining ground. That’s what recent polls say about the 2023 regional elections, where the Brothers of Italy, the first party in Lombardy, historically the feudal lords of Silvio Berlusconi and Matteo Salvini, will also withdraw.
Lombardy regional elections, polls
Which candidate would you vote for the Regional Presidency today? This is the question answered by more than a thousand people interviewed by Ipsos Srl. The result is that the current president of Lombardy, Attilio Fontana, will be endorsed. Center-left candidate Pierfrancesco Majorino is trailing, with Letizia Moratti running for third place, third pole.
- Attilio Fontana (center right): 45.0%
- Pierfrancesco Majorino (center left and M5S): 33.8%
- Letizia Moratti (Lombardia Best, Action-IV): 19.0%
- Mara Ghidorzi (Popular League): 2.2%
However, it’s a fiery victory for Lega and Forza Italia that will now see all right taken over by the cannibalistic party, namely the Brotherhood of Italy.

- League: 13.40%
- Forza Italia: 6.50%
- Democratic Party: 18.40%

Lazio regional elections, polls
In Lazio, although the match initially seemed clear, now all polls show the centre-right as the winner, Francesco Rossa beating his main rival Alessio D’Amato by even a few points. That’s what the latest BiDiMedia poll says, too, where a little over a thousand citizens called to vote were heard.
- Francesco Rocca (center right): 45.3%
- Alessio D’Amato (center left): 36.7%
- Donatella Bianchi (5 Star Movement): 15.8%
Rosa Rinaldi (Popular Union): 1.4%
Sonia Pecorilli (Communist Party): 0.4%
Fabrizio Pignalberi (Plus Italy): 0.4%
A victory of the continuity that Giorgia Meloni’s party continues to have, a victory of the centre-right. Italy’s brethren would lead the centre-right’s conquest of the Region, amassing more than 35% of the Lazio people’s preferences.
