Another denial of the La Stampa article entitled “Fazzolari’s plan for young people ‘Let’s teach shooting in school'”. Speaking directly is one of those that the newspaper directed by Massimo Giannini brings up, namely the General of the Army Corps Franco Federici, military advisor to the Prime Minister’s Office: Presidency of the Council, Mr. Giovanbattista Fazzolari, would have asked me for an opinion to introduce shooting classes in the school curriculum, I declare that this request never occurred and there was no proposal in this regard. The news, therefore, is totally baseless.
Fazzolari himself had already denied the article by Ilario Lombardo in La Stampa where some statements made by Fazzolari to General Federici were reported: “The article that came out in the newspaper La Stampa in which it is stated that I would like to ‘teach shooting in schools’ is ridiculous and unfounded. The conversation between me and General Federici, President Meloni’s military adviser, which the journalist from La Stampa believes he took as a scoop, concerned something else. The need to allocate more resources to training the Forces Armed Forces and Police Forces, and also the possibility of providing a privileged recruitment channel in these State bodies for athletes from reputed related sports disciplines, even if not Olympic, such as parachuting, mountaineering and shooting. Two measures on which we will work as soon as possible ”.
