This was Roy Barreras’ scolding for delays in tabling reforms

Congress President Roy Barreras issued a new appeal to national government ministers for their delays in submitting the national government’s reforms and initiatives for this new legislature.

He strongly questioned the fact that three of the most important reforms have not been presented: the health care reform, the pension reform and the subjugation law. It must be approved in the next 19 weeks.

“We insisted that social reforms and the law of submission, health, labor and pension reforms be included, and those laws were not included in the decree and the purpose of the extras was to earn a month and a half for those social reforms.”, said the president of the legislature in statements to the media.

He added: “I understand that the ministers have not finished writing yet and they have not finished their homework and I want to remember that time is running out and I hope they will submit them in the next few days and for that the government will must issue a new decree of extras to issue those norms, the law of submission is an absolute priority, because without it there is no total peace,” he added.

He explained that the third and fourth economic committees of the Senate and House and the second and fifth committees are starting work today.

“The one that cannot meet until the projects approved in the Commission arrive is the plenary”.

EL HERALDO has been informed that tomorrow, Friday, the text of the health reform will be submitted to the House of Representatives. Faced with this, Minister Corcho and members of the council organized a public event.

There will also be several technical tables for discussion of the National Development Plan.
