It is the day when the League takes on the role of its candidates for the last days of the election campaign. And he is at the “Th Hotel” on the Aurelia road in Rome, one of the classic places for rallies and party meetings. A little of each arrives, summoned by the regional coordinator of Carroccio Claudio Durigon. From the Roman secretary Davide Bordoni to the provincial coordinator of Frosinone Nicola Ottaviani, passing through the national undersecretary Andrea Crippa and the undersecretary Federico Freni. It is a forum where the last sprint is given to the candidates and militants, with the waving of the flags, but also the programmatic note is made on the one hundred days of government and on what has been done for Lazio, a fortress to conquer for the team supporting Francesco Rocca, who spoke via video link. But it is also a particular day in terms of reporting, because yet another bloody event materialized in the middle of Rome’s Termini station, a stabbing that marks the level of degradation of this junction so important for the capital. And Northern League leader and Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini emphasizes this. «Tomorrow at eleven (today, ed) I will be in Termini to present a great plan for the security of the Italian stations from Rome, Milan and Naples, because taking the train in Termini or in the center of Milan cannot be a roulette wheel». And, again, he emphasizes, “the teachers are not touched, the women and men who work on the trains are not touched, because they are doing their job”. In terms of the most relevant issues for the territory, then, waste management could not be missing: “Whoever chooses the League does not choose a waste energy recovery plant – Salvini explains – but all those that are necessary to make the city clean ” . The leader of Carroccio also took advantage of the podium to claim the unity of the coalition at the national level: “We worked well and will work well for the next ten years, five plus five like the lease contract”, he observes. As for the electoral race, given the appointments on Sunday and Monday, he says: “We ran a beautiful, smiling, positive and, above all, team campaign, because for us the team is everything”. However, there is also a mention of the critical issues of European policies, which have always been the mantra of Salvini’s message: “Those who slaughter the European car industry in the EU in favor of China are either stupid or paid.” And again: «They are touching the houses and cars of Italians, without taking their hands off our houses and our cars. We are nobody’s servants.” The event also had as speakers the four Ministers of the League, the owner of the Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti, the one of the School Giuseppe Valditara and again the Minister of Regional Affairs Roberto Calderoli and his Disability colleague Alessandra Locatelli. claims the results in the budget law: “We managed to have an initial allocation of ten million euros for the “inclusive suburbs”. An important measure for cities like Rome, where, unfortunately, there are many difficult situations.” And, again, he observes: “We are thinking of opening virtuous paths in which third sector institutions and bodies can work together. We need to think better about how to respond to the needs of people in difficulty, starting with the weakest groups”.
Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti, on the other hand, focuses on expensive energy: “We are studying other systems to meet the needs of families and companies and we hope to be ready in March”. And then he touches on a very delicate subject for the taxpayer: «This year I took on an enormous responsibility, and of course I received a lot of criticism from everyone, because we arrived and the Rai license fee was on the bill, otherwise everything would have exploded, but it is clear that he will have to come out of it and therefore next year we will have to find another tool ». Minister Calderoli, on the other hand, emphasizes the process of autonomy: «If anyone fears being harmed, we put in writing that even those regions that do not ask for any form of autonomy will not have a reduction of a single euro and that the equalization fund will also it will work for them. Inequality is a thing of today, the result of statism”. Valditara highlights a novelty in the school building dossier: “We released 735 million” for Lazio. “This is – added the Minister of Education – a major requalification plan, the elimination of architectural barriers and anti-seismic adaptation”.
