Card scandal in the Democratic Party, 3,000 are cancelled: the case between overnight subscribers and serial emails

A new case overwhelms the Democratic Party, struggling with the primaries. While Democratic voters are deciding who will be the new leader, 3,000 cards were suddenly cancelled. The latent situation, reports Corriere della Sera, concerns Caserta in particular, where there is “a multiplication of nightly subscribers, cumulative transfers, emails (always the same) used for untraceable Sisal payments”.

The problem was raised by the Commission of Caserta, which had motivated the option of not accepting affiliations by the mouth of President Francesco Gatto: “The number of inscriptions requested is globally considerable, observing anomalies in particular in some municipalities of the province where the relation of percentage incidence between the number of votes for the Democratic Party in the last political elections and the current applications for membership varies from 20 to more than 50 and even 60%. provincial towns, true strangers to democratic culture and militancy, often opponents, as well as public and declared competitors of the Democratic Party. There are several cases of simultaneous adherence to the Democratic Party and other right-wing parties. In municipalities where there are administrations led by the Democratic Party, the right-wing opposition intervened in the accession to alter its stability and vice versa, in municipalities where the Democratic Party is in opposition, mayors and councilors have done the same to weaken their opponents. And the national commission unanimously voted to annul half of the members of the Democratic Party of Caserta.

The newspaper then reports the words of Franco Roberti, MPE dem and former anti-mafia national prosecutor, in this regard: “There is a risk of Camorra infiltration”. The villages in the tourist spots are Sessa Aurunca, Casal di Principe, San Marcellino, Gricignano and Aversa. And at least in this there was the union of the committees that support the four candidates for the secretariat.
