Sanremo 2023, center right against Rai for the Fedez show

The storm erupts again at Fedez’s concert in Sanremo. On stage, the rapper tore up a photo of Vice Minister Bignami disguised as a Nazi. And, according to some rumors, the leaders of viale Mazzini would be aware of the singer’s intentions. And, consequently, Rai would be somehow complicit in what happened. “Those in Rai who knew about Fedez’s concert must resign.” This statement was made by the President of the Brothers of Italy in the Chamber, Tommaso Foti. «In Rai they knew, but nobody did anything, becoming accomplices of Fedez’s political soliloquy and his attack on a deputy minister of the Republic – observes Foti – According to the newspaper “La Verità”, his show would in fact have been rehearsed before the official broadcast. Worrying details that are emerging and that, if confirmed or rather not denied, will necessarily lead to an immediate clarification”. «We firmly ask – adds Foti – that the top management of viale Mazzini explain exactly the dynamics of the story and act accordingly as soon as possible. Otherwise, it is clear that someone, unable to guarantee the plurality of the public service, will have to leave office as soon as possible”.

Elisabetta Gardini also increases the dose on the subject: «It is scandalous that Rai has agreed to Fedez’s undignified show against a deputy minister – continues the deputy leader of the Fratelli d’Italia group in the Chamber – The newspaper La Verità delights us among other things with new details that some evidently expected to pass in the background. The rapper’s show, champion of anti-fascism and avenger, was not a surprising improvisation, with tattered live photos of Undersecretary Bignami, which Rai promptly dissociated himself from, but rehearsed before broadcasting and studied at the table. The only change from the tests? Avoid rocking the photo upside down, Piazzale Loreto style. Therefore – continues the Fdi parliamentarian – Rai knew and did not put an end to this farce, on the contrary he proved to be complicit and complacent, with successive and mendacious distances. We want clarity on this issue: whoever is not able to guarantee pluralism in public television will have to leave their positions”.
