The lifeline before drowning. The last step before catastrophe. The absurd belief that Rai, state-owned television paid and maintained with taxpayers’ money, obliged to pay the licensing fee every year, is a partisan company. The Democratic Party demonstrates, once again, how the distorted view of reality is taking it to a deep abyss. The most recent example of this descent into hell is represented by the evaluation, to say the least enthusiastic, of the last Festival of Sanremo. An event in which the music only served as an accompaniment to the plastic representation of an idea of society in which there are no men and women, but only primordial instincts, which make us love the former today and the latter tomorrow. Fluid, ready to deconstruct the family, the absolute foundation of our society and eager to smoke a good hashish or marijuana joint before bed. A model that does not please the current center-right majority, who did not appreciate certain departures at all, especially that of Fedez.
The rapper, needless to say, was promptly defended by the president of the senators of the Democratic Party, Simona Malpezzi, who responded on Twitter to the positions taken by the leaders of the Fratelli d’Italia: “It is paradoxical that the FdI is asking for the resignation of the leaders of the Rai responsible for Fedez’s performance: he didn’t say anything new on stage. Does FdI want to govern by limiting freedom of expression? It smells like Minculpop». This statement was made by Irene Manzi, leader of the culture committee of the PD of the Chamber. “The attack on Rai’s top management by the FdI is worrying in terms of content and method. But I believe that, given the controversies that persist at these times, the words spoken by Gianmarco Mazzi, undersecretary for culture, are even more undervalued. In no uncertain terms, he calls for a change in executives from functional Rai to a new narrative of the country after the right’s election victory. Here we are no longer dealing simply with a dispossession system, but with an attempt to force a change in cultural models. An attempt to say unequivocally that public service depends directly on who wins the elections. Editorial freedom is the power of information and freedom of expression is the cornerstone of our democracy.”
«I would not like Prime Minister Meloni and her ruling class – she insists – to want to repress both in the name of affirming a cultural hegemony that cannot be built with purges. They have already occupied the Rai news in an unprecedented way, are you now thinking of muzzling the artists or choosing the most useful ones for building a new narrative? It would be a serious fact that would say a lot about the quality and intentions of those who govern us ».
Clear words, which once again highlight two aspects: the first concerns the presumed (but so considered by parts of the Botteghe Oscure) moral superiority of the progressives. According to its distorted view of the universe, the center-right can win elections, but one should not dare to touch the centers of power. In particular, cultural ones. The second highlights the sidereal distance of her electorate: while the Democratic Party identifies her with the billionaire, snobbish and chic radical Chiara Ferragni, the center-right will be able to sleep (and govern) between four comfortable pillows.
