The honeymoon between the Italians and Giorgia Meloni continues without end. In the latest SWG poll for La7 news carried out by Enrico Mentana, engaged in the Mentana Marathon on the occasion of the regional elections, Fratelli d’Italia reached 31% again, up 0.4% compared to last week. Slight growth for the second Italian party, Giuseppe Conte’s 5 Star Movement: grillinis rose 0.2% to 17.7%. The Democratic Party also regained some ground, moving from 14.8% to 15.1 (+0.3%). Among the other big parties, the only one to see a positive sign is Matteo Salvini’s Lega, which recovers 0.2% and totals 8.9% overall, ahead of Action-Italia Viva (7.8% with -0 .3%) and Forza Italia (6.1% with -0.3%).
Among the smaller parties, the result of the Unione Popolare stands out, which fell by 0.3% and ended at 1.7%, thus remaining below the 2% threshold. Therefore, the positive moment of Meloni and of the other great ally in the government, the League, does not stop: the center right does not stop in the face of the heated polemics of the left, the last ones that were seen in Sanremo 2023 and the week before for the case that involved Andrea Delmastro and Giovanni Donzelli.
