Cospito trial heard as witness by Donzelli Roman prosecutors

The vice-president of Copasir Giovanni Donzelli was heard by the Roman prosecutors as a person familiar with the facts of the investigation regarding the disclosure and use of official secrecy in the Cospito case. According to the information we received, the preliminary investigation was carried out yesterday. The investigation was opened following a complaint filed by Deputy Alleanza Verdi and Sinistra Angelo Bonelli regarding Donzelli’s interference in the affair of the anarchist Alfredo Cospito. The complaint that led to the prosecution refers to conversations between Cospito and a member of the ‘Ndrangheta and camorrista that took place in prison between last December and January and were subsequently read out in the courtroom.

Within the scope of the same investigation, it was heard that the Undersecretary of Justice Andrea Delmastro entered the defendant’s register on 17 February. Yesterday the undersecretary’s defense presented a briefing to the prosecutor. In the document filed, the story is reconstructed and references are made to some decisions of the Supreme Court.
