Supermedia polls, coup for Conte overtaken by the Democratic Party. FdI, numbers never seen

The overtaking is complete: Giuseppe Conte’s 5 Star Movement is no longer the second largest party on the Italian scene, at least according to the latest political polls. The primary effect jolts the Democratic Party, which, after chasing the grillini for the past two weeks, has overtaken them. As usual, the Supermedia of the YouTrend/Agi polls, which integrates the results of the polls from the main research institutes, portrays the state of health of the parties. The surveys considered were carried out by the institutes Demos (publication date: February 25th), EMG (February 27th), Euromedia (February 22nd), Ipsos (February 25th), Ixè (February 22nd), Noto (February 28th), February), Piepoli (February 27th), SWG (February 20th and 27th) and Tecnè (February 18th and 25th).

“The last Supermedia registers in an ‘official’ way the overtaking of the PD in the M5S, in the wave of the primary effect that traditionally gives a certain boost to the Democrats”, reads the note that accompanies the data. Another relevant result is the confirmation of the growth of Giorgia Meloni’s party. Siblings from Italy, in fact, strengthens by two decimal places and rises to 30.4 percent.

The Democratic Party, as mentioned, gains a flattering 1.3 percent and rises to 17.2, two decimal places more than the M5s which drops 0.8 percent to 17. The league drops to 8.8 percent , the Third Pole also decreased (7.2). Positive signs for Forza Italia (7.1) which “sees” the overtaking of Carlo Calenda and Matteo Renzi. Small deviations to Greens/Left (3.3), +Europe (2.4), Italexit (1.9), Unione Popolare (1.7). Noi Moderati’s decline was more pronounced, losing half a point to 1%.
