The left continues to call for the resignation of the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, after the death of at least 69 migrants who tried to reach Italy and, in particular, the coast of Calabria. But the center-right majority is united around the name of the owner of the Ministry of the Interior, also defended by Matteo Salvini in an interview with Italian Affairs: “Resignation? No”. it is the moral duty of all of us to oppose it. Women and men of the sea in uniform risk their lives every day to save other lives. To think that not even for a minute did they fail to do so, by their own choice or by someone else’s recommendation, is a miserable insult to the honor, professionalism and sacrifice of heroes that the whole world envies us. Go ahead – says Salvini – with work, day and night, on land and sea, to save lives, stop criminals and protect Italy”.
