Yet another episode of violence against the center-right government. The images of the Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, and the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, portrayed upside down, appeared this morning in front of the Carducci College in Milan. Next to it is a banner with the inscription ‘But violence is yours alone’ with two anarchist symbols. The Lega Giovani Milano group denounced and published the photo.
The reaction of Anna Maria Bernini, Minister of University and Research, stopped: “The banner that appeared this morning at the Carducci classical college in Milan, which depicts President Giorgia Meloni and Minister Giuseppe Valditara upside down, leaves you astonished. The violence of words has no less weight than physics and contributes to fueling a climate of tension in schools and universities that must be absolutely diluted. I tell students not to let anyone exploit them. Places of education and culture must be experienced as spaces for free discussion, dialogue, tolerance and respect. There are no forms of violence more tolerable than others. It is up to all of us to condemn it without distinction and to act – warned Bernini – together in the name of democracy and freedom”.
