After the submission of the labor reform project presented by President Gustavo Petro on Thursday evening, different reactions have been generated by the unions, despite the adjustments made to it.
According to Democratic Center senator María Fernanda Cabal, the bill is laced with ideology and also threatens freedoms, and what it does is a direct attack on the country’s labor development: “It is a reform designed to end sources of employment and development,” he said.
In addition, he was criticized for being late in submitting said project and low attendance at protocol events.
It should be noted that the reform proposal document consists of 76 articles, which amends the substantive labor law and seeks changes in matters such as equal opportunities for workers, the protection of workers’ individual rights, as well as the guarantee of collective labor rights, referring to trade union guarantees .
