Supermedia survey, Brothers from Italy firmly in the first place. And there’s a sensational meltdown

What are the Italians’ voting intentions 6 months after the September 25 political elections? The Supermedia YouTrend polls for the week ended March 30 confirm the good health of the Brothers in Italy and the clear recovery of the Democratic Party.

In connection with “Omnibus”, LA7 morning broadcast, on Friday, March 31, Lorenzo Pregliasco, founder of the YouTrend institute, highlighted that the FdI, party of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, is substantially stable: 29.1% against 29.2% on March 16th. It has more support than in the last polls, but less than the peak reached a month ago. Reflecting this trend is the rise of the Democratic Party thanks to the Elly Schlein effect: from 19.8% to 20%.

The dem has not reached the 20 mark since the beginning of this legislature. The M5s goes from 15.9% to 15.6% and remains in line with policies. Significant drop for Liga (8.6% from 9.2%), no change for Forza Italia at 6.9% and some small fluctuations for Azione-Italia Viva, Greens-Left, +Europa, Unione Popolare and moderate Noi.

Pregliasco’s conclusion: “There is no big change for the Brothers in Italy, there is beginning to be a very partial rapprochement with the Democratic Party, although it must be remembered that the distance from the elections is greater”.

As for confidence in leadership, Supermedia YouTrend holds no surprises: Giorgia Meloni is liked by 39% of respondents, 30% are behind the new secretary of the Democratic Party, Elly Schlein, for an all-female challenge. Behind Giuseppe Conte 26%, Matteo Salvini 19%, Carlo Calenda 17%, Silvio Berlusconi 16%, Nicola Fratoianni 15%, Maurizio Lupi 14%. Rear lights: Matteo Renzi 125 and Angelo Bonelli 10%.
