La Russa vents: “I’m not going to talk about historical facts anymore”. And she prepares the surprise for April 25th

“Enough, I’m tired. From now on I will no longer speak about historical facts, only about current events, and I hope to be judged for what I do and say about current issues, not about the past about which, if any, I will speak with historians and not with journalists”. Ignazio La Russa is outraged by the controversy created after his words in via Rasella, in an intervention on the Libero podcast in which he also “opened himself up in some way to gay adoptions, and it is not a given for an exponent of wellness like me. I said that I prefer heterosexual couple adoptions, but also that perhaps a meeting place can be found. It was just an opportunity to talk. And instead everyone hangs on to a word, mystifies, acts outraged, part one and everyone is ready with the series of statements behind them, like children in primary school… I never said ‘ignoble act’ in via Rasella. There were also judgments, there are studies on this action, but that’s enough, I don’t feel like talking about these things anymore. Because the truth is that the opposition builds cases out of nowhere”.

The president of the Senate and exponent of the Brothers of Italy clarifies his own positions in an interview with Corriere della Sera, in which he particularly regrets the reaction of the Jewish community to his speech: “I’m sorry for that, I’m sorry if Ruth Dureghello , whom I respect and appreciate , was disappointed. Perhaps I could have specified better that they were really Nazis, yes, but it seemed obvious to me. But I could be more specific about that. But my intention was precisely to extinguish the absurd controversy that had arisen over Giorgia’s words Meloni, don’t feed her. Because if I wanted to go via Rasella, I would have said something else…”.

Then the 25th of April approaches and La Russa keeps the mystery about his participation in the celebrations of the Liberation anniversary: “I never said that. I said I’ve been there in the past, but I say nothing now. What I will do you will know on the 22nd and 23rd of April, not before. It will be a surprise…”.
