Government appointments, Meloni picks: Scaroni and Cattaneo at Enel, Descalzi confirmation at ENI

The government led by Giorgia Meloni closed the game of naming large companies with public participation. The Ministry of Economy and Finance has archived the lists for the renewal of the governing bodies of Enel, Eni, Leonardo and Poste Italiane.

With reference to the Enel shareholders’ meeting called for May 10, Mef – holder of 23.59% of the capital – presented, according to the Ministry of Companies and Made in Italy (Mimit), the following list for the appointment of the new Board of Directors:

1. Paolo Scaroni (president)
2. Flávio Cattaneo (ad)
3. Alessandro Zehenter (cons)
4. Johanna Arbib Perugia (cons)
5. Salmon Fiametta (cons)
6. Olga Cuccurullo (Advisor)

With regard to Eni’s general meeting called for May 10, Mef – holder of 4.34% of the capital and through Cassa depositi e prestiti (82.77% held by Mef) of another 25.76% – presented , according to Mimit, the following list for the appointment of the new board of directors:

1. Giuseppe Zafarana (president)
2. Claudio Descalzi (CEO)
3. Cristina Sgubin (Advisor)
4. Elisa Baroncini (Counselor)
5. Federica Seganti (Counselor)
6. Roberto Ciciani (advisor)

The new supervisory board of Eni will be composed of the following names:

1. Giulio Palazzo (current)
2. Andrea Parolini (effective)
3. Marcella Caradonna (current)
4. Giulia de Martino (alternate)
5. Riccardo Bonuccelli (alternate)

With regard to Leonardo’s general meeting called for May 9, Mef – holder of 30.2% of the capital – presented, in agreement with Mimit, the following list for the appointment of the new board of directors:

3. Elena Vasco (counselor)
4. Enrica Giorgetti (Director)
5. Francesco Macrì (Counselor)

At the general meeting of Poste Italiane convened for May 8, the list submitted by Mef – holder of 29.26% of the capital and another 35% through Cassa depositi e prestiti – provides for a board of directors composed of the following components:
