Italy protagonist of the process of reconstruction of Ukraine. Prime Minister Meloni underlined this during the bilateral conference in Rome. Meloni exhorted Italian businessmen to believe in peace and to invest in the country’s development, which could become a valuable economic partner for the whole of Europe. “To Italian businessmen I say: do not be afraid to invest, to build and to bet on the victory of Ukraine and the European integration of this country because we are going to strongly support the right of these people to be an integral part of the European community”. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said this during the Bilateral Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine in Rome.
Then Prime Minister Meloni proposed Italy’s candidacy to host the 2025 Recovery Conference. «It is our job to help Ukraine write a new chapter in its history and Italy has all the credentials to play a leading role , for the determination, for the credibility with which we made our choices and we never hesitated, but also because in 2024 she will be the president of the G7, she has been a protagonist in all the major choices made in recent years and because she is also a candidate to host the 2025 Conference of Ukraine’s recovery, an event much larger than this conference to mark our will to move forward in this field”.
