The vice-president of the Chamber of Deputies Fabio Rampelli once again told the story of the lack of majority votes in the Chamber for the approval of the Def budget variation. “Without prejudice to the excuses from which we started, the missions of the parliamentarians will certainly have to be reviewed, especially when there is a qualified majority. They will have to be suspended or at least drained”, declared the exponent of the Brothers of Italy from outside Montecitorio the day after the rejection that triggered chaos in the majority. “These missions with the reduced number of parliamentarians have a greater impact. If the numbers are not guaranteed, it is not easy to reach an absolute majority when the Constitution requires it. It is certainly an issue that we will address,” added Rampelli. “As far as the Brothers in Italy are concerned, then the five absences are also people who are not in physical condition to be in the Chamber”.
