National Development Plan: at the heart of the legislative agenda this week

According to what was stated by the President of the Congress of the Republic, Senator Roy Barrerasonly 8 weeks left in the legislature to approve the three nice initiatives socialbearing in mind that this week they will focus only on the debate on the National Development Plan.

“In the last eight weeks of the legislature, it is not possible to four debates necessary for a labor reform, this week we will all focus on the PND, next week the parliamentary committee will at best approve the health care reform, and only in the third week of May will the first public hearing of the labor reform and it would be passed on May 23 in the first debate,” Senator Roy Barreras explained, calendar in hand.

Similarly, he claimed that “the labor reform would reach that company’s plenary in the first week of June, and the law requires that there be a two-week period before it Senatewould then only arrive in the last week of the legislature, and it is therefore impossible to approve two debates in one week unless there is additional sessions which the executive must take into account.
