“The distinguished Gianfranco Rotondi, deputy of the Brothers of Italy, continues to make statements and take initiatives on behalf of the Christian Democrats, of which he has no representative role and of which he is not a member”. In a note Fabio Desideri, national spokesman and political coordinator of the Christian Democrats, responds to the deputy, for a clash that has lasted for some time. “We have already sent him a formal warning to use the name and symbol of the party – explains Desideri -. Before sending this formal notification, to the Deputy of the Brothers of Italy, we previously notified the President of the Republic and the Presidents of the Chamber of Deputies and of the Senate of the Republic, as well as the President of the Council of Ministers, of the progress and result of the National Congress of Christian Democracy party, in which statutory bodies were elected, none of which include FdI MP Gianfranco Rotondi”.
“In the Municipality of Latina – continues Desideri – recently, on the occasion of the presentation of the lists for the administrative elections, we had to file a complaint with the Public Ministry to protect our symbol and our denomination. We also take the opportunity to ask Mr. Rotondi once again not to discuss, much less to act in the name and on behalf of the Christian Democrats, to which he does not belong and does not even represent them in any way”. The tug of war continues at Baleia Branca.
