Labor decree, Antonio Tajani against union protest: illogical response

Trade unions take to the streets in Bologna against the labor decree. Foreign Minister Tajani spares no criticism and points the finger at the incomprehensible choice of workers’ representatives. «The government has done everything to help workers – said Tajani – We have reduced the tax burden by up to 7% and we are working to maintain it even with a stable choice from next year. In a democracy, everyone can do what they want, but it doesn’t seem like a logical response to what has been done”. This statement was made by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, on the sidelines of the Forza Italia convention in Milan, commenting on the demonstration organized in Bologna by the CGIL, CISL and UIL to protest against the government’s labor measures.

In addition, the Minister of Foreign Affairs also spoke about the latest political polls. «Weekly polls just came in and Forza Italia is growing by 0.3%. Steady growth, in a week is no small feat. We are not satisfied, we want to continue to govern well,” said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani during his speech on stage at the Forza Italia convention in Milan.
