The centre-right is growing, as is confidence in the government and Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, while the 5-Star Movement is falling. These are some of the indications that emerge from the Dire-Tecnè survey released on Saturday, May 6, with interviews carried out between May 4 and 5, 2023 with a sample of a thousand people. Among the parties, the Brothers of Italy remain firmly in the lead with 29.3% of the preferences, despite losing 0.1% compared to last week.

The Democratic Party grew slightly, reaching 19.6% (+0.2%) and remaining in second place, followed by the 5 Star Movement, which lost 0.2% compared to last week, now at 15.7%. Lega dropped 0.1% to 8.9%. Forza Italia is gaining ground at centre-right, gaining 0.3 to 8.7%. The stock scores a +0.1 which brings it up to 4.6%. Followed by Alleanza Verdi Sinistra with 3.1% (+0.1); Italia Viva at 2.5% (-0.1); Europe more stable with 2.4% (-0.1).

Confidence in Giorgia Meloni and the government continues to grow. Compared to a week ago, 53.7% of respondents say they trust Giorgia Meloni (+0.1); while the discouraged are 41.0% (+0.3). 5.3% answered “don’t know” (-0.4). The government also continues to gain support. The value of those who trust is 47.6% (+0.3); those who do not have it are 44.7% (-0.4). 7.7% “don’t know” (+0.1).

“The weekly survey has just arrived: Forza Italia grows 0.3%. Constant growth, in a week is not little, but we are not satisfied, we want to continue governing well”, commented the Chancellor and National Coordinator of Forza Italia, Antonio Tajani , from the stage of the party convention in Milan that presented Silvio Berlusconi’s video message.
