Geopolitical frictions continue within the European Union. After the turmoil of recent weeks, Antonio Tajani, Minister of Foreign Affairs present in Naples for the conference «Towards the second UN summit on food systems: Italy presents Agritech» on the university campus of San Giovanni a Teduccio, is now thinking about it, to rekindle the controversy with Paris and Berlin: «There cannot be a Europe in which there is only France and Germany, Italy must play an equal role. We are the second largest industrial power in the European Union and we must work together with an industrial country like France”
Tajani also focused on the “closing” of the diplomatic incident with France: “It is important because we want to build a common migration policy with France. There was the problem of the patent court to be resolved, during the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Colonna the decision to have the patent court in Milan was confirmed and it is yet another victory for Italy, which thus obtains centrality even in a such an important and delicate subject for our industry. But also with regard to migration policy – underlines the national coordinator of Forza Italia – Italy and France must work together”.
