The Interior Ministry confirmed to EL HERALDO that there will be no dry law in the country over the weekend of June 3 and 4, in the context of the inter-party talks that will take place next Sunday.
According to this ministerial portfolio, each mayor’s office of the municipalities of San Francisco and Simijaca, in Cundinamarca, and of the municipality of Sativasur, Boyacá, will be responsible for issuing the respective decrees or measures that ensure the peaceful and orderly development of this electoral activity. In the case of Bogotá, they will participate in consultations with the local councils, JAL, where a ruling is expected from the mayor Claudia López.
It should be noted that at the end of Election Day, the National Registry of Civil Registry will provide the certification of the voting results to the political parties that will participate in the election, in this case the Democratic and Liberal Center. A total of 955 urban polling stations and the municipalities mentioned above will be called in for this day.
