The board gave way to a series of records for two hours, but at noon it adjourned the session and called for Wednesday at 9 a.m.
The Minister of Labour, Gloria Ramirezsaid before the empty Commission: “We have a great opportunity for the country, Colombia needs these reforms. (…) These two dynamics of workers and business people are needed, one without the other will not move forward. This is the opportunity of gold that we have so that we can focus on the big change that was the constitution of 91, which makes a transition to a social rule of law, meaning rights for all”.
And the speaker’s representative, María Fernanda Carrascal, of the Historic pactreiterated that “job stability is at the heart of this reform, it is the right opportunity for this country to talk about work again (…) I call for debate with dignity, with height, because when we debate, we enrich the projects , but there are strategies to postpone this debate”.
