Polls, for Schlein it is already a crisis: where the Democratic Party slips. And the center right flies

It’s absolute dominance, and in some ways a little uncharacteristic. In recent years, in fact, the custom has seen a decrease in popular support for governing parties once they take office at Palazzo Chigi. Often and voluntarily, because voters see their voting expectations, based on the campaign’s electoral program, disregarded. And therefore, the fact that Giorgia Meloni and, in general, the center-right coalition is still growing, despite opposition movements, is significant. In the direct confrontation with Elly Schlein, the Fratelli d’Italia leader wins by far in the survey carried out by Roberto Baldassari, general manager of Lab21.01, for Affaritaliani. An approval rate of 61.7%, with a positive variation of 1.4% compared to before the administrative ballots, for the current Prime Minister who leaves no room for more resources. Only the remaining 38.3% of the polled sample representing voters, on the other hand, still believe in the Democratic Party secretary.

As for the ranking of parties, the survey sees the union of FdI, Lega and Forza Italia still flying, with the participation of Noi Moderati (0.7%). Both Meloni’s creature and those of Salvini and Berlusconi increase their popularity. The FdI is close to 30% thanks to +0.4%, while the greens are just under 10% (9.5%) and the FI settles at 6.8%. And that’s how with a total increase of 0.9%, the center-right coalition (46.8%) still digs a furrow in relation to the center-left divided between the Democratic Party and the 5 Star Movement. Schlein’s last few weeks have not been easy to digest with the collapse in administrative ballots, the new leader of the Democratic Party appearing to be in crisis. But in general, the Democratic Party feels like a Titanic constantly on edge. Elly had been voted in the primaries to make a change in a party without an identity after Enrico Letta’s tenure, but the quicksand of different mouths to feed is swallowing her up too. The Democrats, according to the survey, were below the barrier of 20%, settling at 19.3%. A psychological as well as numerical beating.

Giuseppe Conte’s 5 Star, on the other hand, always gets around 16% approval, with a slight loss of 0.3%. While the so-called Third Pole is already on the tightrope and voters no longer believe in him: Carlo Calenda’s participation is 4.9%, while Italia Viva, by Matteo Renzi, has only 2.4% of preferences. The survey also dealt with the ministers of the Meloni government. And the person most loved by those interviewed is Giancarlo Giorgetti, Minister of Economy and Finance. A little below we find Antonio Tajani (Foreigner), Adolfo Urso (Business and Made in Italy) and Matteo Salvini (Infrastructure and Transport). Completing the podium is Andrea Abordi (Sports and Youth).
