Federico Gutiérrez, a former presidential candidate and one of the most critical of the government of Gustavo Petro, indicted the Colombian president before the House of Representatives’ Commission of Impeachments for alleged crimes he committed as a result of the illegal financing of his campaign. .
According to what ‘Fico’ has stated, he will ask the Attorney General’s Office for institutional support as this would be not only an illegitimate but also an illegal government.
“The complaint is for the alleged crime of illegal financing, illegal money that apparently entered his campaign and most likely money from drug trafficking. We will also ask the prosecution to investigate Laura Sarabia, Armando Benedetti and Ricardo Roa, manager of the presidential campaign of Petro who today works as manager of Ecopetrol,” explains Federico Gutiérrez.
It should be noted that this prosecution commission is charged with preparing the impeachment projects, as the name implies, when there are constitutional causes against the president, magistrates of the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court and the Council of State.
In addition, it also includes the Attorney General of the nation and the members of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary.
