Conservatives are calling for clarity on how to manage presidential campaign resources

Through a press release, the Conservative Party ruled on the controversial events that have clouded Gustavo Petro’s presidential campaign today, following the leaked audio of former Colombian ambassador to Venezuela, Armando Benedetti, where he claimed to have contributed 15,000 million pesos to the its development. .

According to what this community has stated, Colombians deserve clarity and urgency about what happened, in order to create trust and peace of mind among citizens.

“The Colombian Conservative Party expresses its concern at the media publications in recent days referring to alleged serious events that occurred during President Gustavo Petro’s campaign,” the document said.

It also clarifies that the request is made “for the sake of clarity that all Colombians deserve, we deem it urgent that the campaign provide the relevant explanations of the facts exposed to public opinion.”
