Elly Schlein’s Pd disaster goes hand in hand with a name, actually a surname: that of Vincenzo De Luca, governor of Campania, and of course his son Piero replaced in the post of deputy leader of the dem group in Montecitorio by Paolo Ciani. Among a thousand controversies. Well, De Luca senior may soon leave the Democratic Party. A heavy farewell, despite the fact that the president of the Campania region is seen as a free scout in the dem galaxy. “If the Democratic Party doesn’t want me, I can also find another symbol”, is the phrase attributed to Vincenzo De Luca according to Libero reports, a reaction against Elly Schlein for removing Piero De Luca from the position of vice-president of the Parliamentary Assembly group .
“It’s not just that. The governor has never made a secret of wanting a third term, so he has a statutory reform ready that cancels the limit for two. But we need the approval of Secretary Schlein who will hardly endorse the change”, we read at the bottom which indicates two possible political destinations for the former mayor of Salerno: on the one hand, there would be the living Italia of Matteo Renzi, on the other the movement of Cateno De Luca (just a homonym) South calls North. Thus, the third mandate in the Region becomes possible.
In his last live broadcast on social networks, De Luca returned to attack the government, but also to launch friendly fire (you can say with the “flame-thrower”…) on the Democratic Party. “For those who live in the political dimension, you know that Italy is a great equestrian circus. We are ruined. It is also difficult to keep up with political events, which worry the Government.
