A historic activist of the Rimini Democratic Party, on the occasion of Unity Day, threw herself onto the center of the stage and, after stripping down to her bikini, dove into a bathtub of water and put on a little show that embarrassed party secretary Elly Schlein. The author of the striptease that generated an uproar and generated a tsunami of criticism is Loretta Pompili, 67 years old, a retired regional manager.

The sensational out-of-hours, which lasted a few minutes, soon hit the web. After taking off her clothes, Loretta Pompili entered a “miniature bathtub” and caught the attention of everyone present. This attempt at a burlesque show, however, instead of triggering the audience’s hilarity, also left the comrades indignant. The performance, in fact, left Fiorella Zangari perplexed. The resentful Pd municipal secretary said: “Before it was done, such a thing had to be shared with the party and the other party organizers and explained to the public.”
Although the secretary of the Democratic Party has announced a “militant summer”, there are many dem who cry scandal. It seems, in fact, that Pompili ridiculed Unity Day. The militant, interviewed by Il Resto del Carlino, explained her initial objective, stating that she wanted to send “a message in favor of us women and our rights” and defining her initiative as “an innocent burlesque hoax”. Then the former regional manager retraced her steps, creating chaos within the party: “I feel like a free spirit, and with that performance on Unity Day I tried to convey a message that is, in some way, also political. A message in defense of the rights of us women.
