Samuele Lippi, an important exponent of the Tuscan Democratic Party, was seen by the carabinieri while buying the white powder. The men in uniform followed and stopped him as he drove his car. Given the small amount of the drug, supposedly for personal use, Lippi was reported to the prefecture and only an administrative sanction was applied against him, which does not imply criminal implications. At the same time, the administrator’s license was also withdrawn.

News confirmed by the mayor himself in a long post on his Facebook page. “There are many rumors circulating about private events that would have happened to me in recent days. What happened is a strictly personal matter, which has no criminal relevance but which I cannot and do not want to underestimate or minimize. I stumbled but I want to get back on my feet and I have courageously decided to walk a path that allows me to take care of myself.
