BOGOTA | The natural leader of the Radical Change Party, former Vice President German Vargas Llerascriticized the failure of his proposed coalition on the composition of Congressional boards last Wednesday.
“Facing the versions that César Gaviria has disseminated in the media, through his head of communications, as usual, I clarify that I have not met him in person for over a year. We communicated by phone. I am very sorry that my proposal to form a new coalition for the election of the Boards of Directors of the Congress has not prospered,” the former presidential candidate tweeted about the president of the Liberal Party.
The opposition leader who has not met him recently added in the Twitter thread Dilian Francisca Toro, director of La U: “I predict that both will soon rejoin the governing coalition. And tomorrow’s pulse (today) will be nothing more than an attempt to position themselves for a future negotiation. In other words, vulgar blackmail.”
And Vargas Lleras concluded by asking that “they want to appreciate because of Drastic change, but the country knows that all this has become a theater. We hate being contacted to value themselves to the government when we all know they are negotiating positions and ministries.”
